First Spark: guide to table 2

First Spark adds a third colour to this free online pinball game. The brass boiler puffs two tall columns of small bubbles onto the board, a row of cyan, coral and yellow bumpers lights the top, and a rescue post between the flippers forgives your early mistakes while you learn to juggle three colours.

How the table is laid out

A straight row of 3 pop bumpers crosses the upper field: cyan, coral and yellow from left to right. There are no ramps and no drop targets. A permanent rescue post stands between the flippers and blocks most straight drains.

Three coloured rings paint the ball: cyan on the lower left, coral on the lower right and yellow in the middle centre. The big bubbles copy that pattern: cyan on the middle left, coral on the middle right and yellow in the lower centre, each with a single shell.

The brass boiler blows in two column-shaped clusters of small bubbles, each hanging from its own gold-ring anchor. One of the small bubbles is a clock bubble worth +5 s. The cyan bubble leaves a magnet, the coral one an extra pop bumper and the yellow one a second rescue post.

The objective

CLEAN SWEEP: pop every big bubble and both columns of small bubbles before the clock runs out. Wrong colours bounce, so pick your colour first: a top lane (the flippers rotate their colours), a coloured ring, or both flippers at once to swap. Popping a column's gold-ring anchor makes the whole column fall.

Strategy, step by step

  1. First Spark stacks its yellow on one vertical line: the middle centre ring feeds a ball that falls straight onto the lower centre bubble, so a gentle cradle-and-tap is all it takes.
  2. Each column hangs from a single gold-ring anchor near its top. Aim high up the column rather than at its base: the anchor brings the whole tower down in one move.
  3. Grab the clock bubble inside a column as soon as you have its colour; +5 s this early keeps the QUICK star comfortably within reach.
  4. The lower-left cyan ring and lower-right coral ring sit just above the flippers. Feed a slow ball across the inlane into them to recolour it without climbing the whole board.
  5. Lean on the rescue post while you learn: it saves most centre drains, so a ball lost here usually comes from an outlane, and that is worth fixing for NO BALL LOST.

How to get 3 stars

QUICK needs at least a quarter of the clock left at the end. NO BALL LOST asks for a clean run with no drain (each drain costs 5 seconds). WHOLE CLUSTER is earned by popping a gold-ring anchor so a full column drops. The table counts as passed even without stars.

Common mistakes

  • Sending a yellow ball at the side bubbles. Only the lower centre bubble is yellow; cyan and coral will bounce it straight back.
  • Chipping the bottom of each column bubble by bubble. The gold ring on the anchor is the shortcut, and missing it costs both time and a star.
  • Ignoring the clock bubble until the end, when its colour may already be gone from your options.

The first table takes one minute.

The Primordial Bubble takes a little longer.
